Product Description
We all know the children's rhyme, Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, yadda, yadda, yadda. What you may not know is that it dates from the late 18th century, and there are many theories as to its meaning.
As the rhyme does not refer to Humpty as being an egg at all, it may originally have been a riddle. Alternative theories suggest it was an allegory describing, amongst others, King Richard III, a seige engine and a cannon.
More recently the rhyme has been used to illustrate the second law of thermodynamics, describing the process of entropy. Something to to with disorder in a closed system, apparently. Science.
Humpty also famously appeared in Lewis Carroll's "Through The Looking-Glass", in familiar egg form.
Our Humpty Dumpty Egg Cup comes complete with a wall, and a place to put your soldiers, in a neat row. It's a fun way for kids (and big kids) to start their day. Who doesn't like egg and soldiers for brekkie?
